New Delhi, Nov 15 (IANS) SAB TV is to air comedy show 'Chidiyaghar' that the makers say will deal with the progression of human beings from animals and what separates them.
'The show has a fresh concept that revolves around a unique idea that humans too have animal traits and that it is our values and culture that separates us from animals,' SAB TV Executive VP and Business Head Anooj Kapoor told IANS.
The cast of 'Chidiyaghar' includes Rajendra Gupta and Sumit Arora of 'Pavitra Rishta' fame and Debina Mookherjee, who portrayed Sita in 'Ramayan'.
'Finalizing the star cast was not at all difficult. What we were focusing on was that these people should look great in their characters. For instance, Debina is a gifted dancer and the role demanded the same, so she was selected.
'Sumit looks docile and sweet and he relates to his character of Gaumukh Narayan. Rajendra Gupta has the image of strong personality, so the role he is playing is truly appropriate for him,' Kapoor said.
The other actors who will also be seen playing pivotal roles are Paresh Ganatra and Shilpa Shinde.
Produced and directed by Ashwini Dheer, the show starts Nov 28.
