Rukmini Vijayakumar joins Mani Ratnam's 'Kaatru Veliyidai'

Bharatanatyam dancer and actress Rukmini Vijayakumar is the latest addition to the cast of filmmaker Mani Ratnam's upcoming Tamil romantic drama "Kaatru Veliyidai".

"Rukmini plays a pivotal role. Although she has joined the sets in Ooty, the makers have kept details of her role under wraps," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

Starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead, "Kaatru Veliyidai" has music by A.R. Rahman.

To be predominantly shot in Kashmir, the film also stars RJ Balaji, Shraddha Srinath, Delhi Ganesh and veteran Malayalam actress Lalitha.

The film is produced by Madras Talkies.
