'Rowdy Rathore', 'Housefull 2' release dates announced

New Delhi, Sep 30 The Bollywood summer slate for 2012 is already getting set with much-awaited films like 'Housefull 2' and 'Rowdy Rathore' releasing June 15 and April 5, respectively.

Both films feature Akshay Kumar.

Eros International and Sajid Nadiadwala's co-production 'Housefull 2', a sequel to the 2010 original, is expected to leave audiences in splits. The Sajid Khan-directorial features an eclectic star cast including Akshay, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Asin Thottumkal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randhir Kapoor, Zarine Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Boman Irani and Chunky Pandey.

'Rowdy Rathore', directed by Prabhudeva, stars Akshay in the lead role with Sonakshi Sinha.

Co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, UTV Motion Pictures and Hari Om Productions, the film is a remake of the superhit Telugu film 'Vikramarkudu', which was also remade in Tamil as 'Siruthai'.

Akshay will be back in his original action avatar in the movie, which went on the floors Aug 10 earlier this year.
