Television heart-throb Rithvik Dhanjani, when asked about the look of his new stint as Abhay Angre in ALTBalaji's upcoming action-drama CARTEL, revealed something intriguing. Rithvik said that the look for his character, Abhay Angre, was shopped for and put together in just one day. All his outfits for his look were curated by the stylist by shopping from the local streets.

In the show, Abhay Angre has two looks as per the changing storylines. Out of the different looks designed for Abhay Angre, the street rogue look as Rithvik referred to, was the look that the crew sourced from the local markets and street vendors. "The first look where I resembled a street ruffian who is rugged and disheveled was shopped in one day from Lokhandwala street market to regular shops at Andheri station. We have also picked up T-shirts from street carts which sold as low as 100 rupees in bulk. The team picked up belts and shirts from roadside shops in Bandra within a day or two. This was to ensure that the character looks authentic. Because that is his style statement. He doesn't go to the malls to shop or wears branded stuff. That's Abhay Angre."

ALTBalaji's upcoming drama Cartel has a lineup of 137 actors. The show is an ambitious project by the streaming giant and is helmed by Balaji Telefilms. Cartel is set in present-day Mumbai.
