Riddhima Tewary replaces Pooja Kanwal in Sasural Genda Phool

It was breaking news in TellyBuzz earlier that Pooja Kanwal has opted out of Ravi Ojha Productions's Sasural Genda Phool on Star Plus. She had also made it clear that she would continue the show until the Production House gets an apt replacement for her.

The latest news we hear is that they have already found the replacement in Rddhima Tewary.

A source says, "Riddhima Tewary who was last seen as Ratna in Colors' Rishton Se Badi Pratha will step in as Disha in Sasural Genda Phool. Things have been amicably sorted out between Pooja and the Production House and Riddhima has started her shoot from today."

TellyBuzz contacted Ridddhima and she said, " I am super excited to be part of Sasural Genda Phool. It is such a healthy atmosphere to work in; great co-actors, lovely production house. It is one of the roles where you can naturally act. I hope viewers accept me in the same way they accepted Pooja. It will take me some time to get into the skin of the character, but I am giving my best."

When contacted, Pooja said, "Yes, I have wrapped up my shoot of Sasural Genda Phool and Riddhima Tewary will step in as Disha henceforth. She has started her shoot today."

With regards to her future Pooja says, "I am actually looking forward for the telecast of the Gold Awards in Zee TV. I had a great pleasure hosting the show."

The story will continue wherein Disha longs to become a mother and carries her frustration within.
