Richa Chadha vs Payal Ghosh recently saw its conclusion after the latter rendered an unconditional apology at Bombay High Court. The Fukrey actress decided to pursue legal action for dragging into controversy after Payal Ghosh alleged that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap had forced himself on her, and in one of her interviews.
The 33-year-old actress took to Instagram and shared a copy of the court order regarding the defamation case against actress Payal Ghosh. Richa expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Bombay High Court for justice in her caption. She took a sly dig at Payal's recent post, and concluded, "And yes, this is what a win looks like. ??????"
Richa Chadha’s caption read: “Grateful to the Hon’ble Bombay High Court for justice.‘ And here are the consent terms 'signed undertaking' DECREED by the Hon'ble Court as per its order 14th Oct, 2020. Am extending the courtesy of blurring signatures. If you are an advisor to Defendant no. 1, scroll till the end to find an update.
Many thanks to all of you as well. Yes, it inspires greater faith in the judicial process. And yes, this is what a win looks like.”
The post from Richa comes after Payal posted a copy of the order on Friday and shared that she tendered a "conditional apology" to Richa, contrary to the reports. She tweeted, "These are our conditions in para 3, accepted by plaintiff & her lawyer, so by putting certain conditions in para 3, it becomes conditional apology Jai Hind!! India is intelligent enough to understand wording in consent term, amicable settlement mean no win no lose, only win & win."
While the case against two others, Kamaal R Khan and a news channel are still underway, Richa is elated with the win and says that a price tag cannot be put on her reputation.
