#RepublicDaySpecial: Amendments I would like to propose for our constitution...

Shivin Narang (Last seen on Star Plus' Veera): The age of an adult should be reduced to 16. Children of current generations are growing up fast.



Tina Datta (Last seen on Colors' Uttaran): The rapists should be met with harsh punishment. The ways to get bail in extreme cases shouldn't be easy. Constitution should have strong laws.



Rohan Mehra (Currently seen on Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai): Since politicians are the ones who are responsible for the good, bad or whatever is happening in the country, so the only change I would want is - Right of negative voting. This right should be given to the citizens which will allow them not to elect anyone if all the candidates are bad. So one more option should be given to the ballet or the EVM Machine - None of the candidates.



Vishal Singh (Currently seen on Saath Nibhana Saathiya): Adoption laws should be liberal and less complicated. People who even want to adopt a child don't adopt assuming it's a cumbersome process, as laws are too rigid. The laws should be amended.



Namish Taneja (Currently seen on Colors' Swaragini): The law that deals with one of the most heinous crime 'rape' needs amendment. Under the section 376 of Indian Penal Code, rape is subdivided into different categories like marital, custodial or a gang rape and punishment for each category is different. The rapist will be given a punishment of minimum 7 years, which may be extended to 10 years to life prison, along with some capital punishment depending on the 'category of rape.' It's the most despicable crime and I think a uniform punishment should be given to rapist irrespective to the kind of rape.
