While everyone gears up for the mega release of KGF: Chapter 2 in a couple of days, one of the constant talking point has been how the Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer Jersey was initially supposed to clash with the juggernaut film but earlier today, it was confirmed that it won't be the case and Jersey has now been pushed to next week for release.
Many assumed that it as due to the fact that it is clashing with KGF Chapter 2, it was postponed to next week. But a recent report has come in claiming the reason for the same is actually entirely different. A writer Rajneesh Jaiswal filed a case against the makers, alleging that the film's story/script is his. The matter is to be heard by Justice Chagla in Mumbai High Court, today. This has termed to be the reason for the movie's postponement next week.
The makers apparently had a feeling that the case would take time in Court; the case was supposed to be heard in the Bombay High Court yesterday post-lunch but was deferred to today. Today too, it was not heard. It has now been deferred to tomorrow.
Jersey has been directed by Gowtam Tinnauri, who was also the director of the original 2019 film of the same name that starred Nani in the lead role.

If the script was stolen why didn’t he do a case on the original jersey?
