The Bhojpuri film 'Rang De Basanti', featuring Khesari Lal in the lead role alongside actress Rati Pandey, has stirred up controversy regarding its title and the decision of Prasoon Joshi to withhold certification, delaying its scheduled release date.

Expressing her perspective on the matter and urging Mr. Joshi to refrain from making biased judgments, Rati Pandey stated, "Hello everyone, as many of you are aware, our film is set to release on March 22nd. Speaking about our preparations, we are fully geared up. The entire team has invested a tremendous amount of effort. Our promotional activities will kick off on the 15th and extend until the 30th. This marks a significant milestone as it's the first Bhojpuri movie receiving nationwide promotion. We'll be personally visiting various regions across India, including Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, and numerous areas in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh."

She continued, "Our plans are extensive. We'll be engaging with the public in places like universities and malls. The dedication poured into making this film is truly commendable. I believe the Censor Board should acknowledge this effort rather than solely focusing on the film's title. It would be unfair to make a biased decision. Therefore, I urge Prasoon Joshi to expedite the certification process and remove any obstacles hindering our release. Let's ensure our movie hits the screens on the designated date, March 22nd."

Furthermore, she clarified, "Regarding any further actions, I must defer to the producers as I'm not directly involved in those decisions. They would be better equipped to provide detailed explanations. Hence, I refrain from making any definitive statements."

In conclusion, she appealed to Prasoon Joshi, emphasizing the impracticality of altering the film's title at this late stage. "I implore Mr. Joshi to facilitate the release of our movie without further delay. Changing the name now, after extensive promotion under 'Rang De Basanti', would be highly unfair and impractical. Let's aim for a fair and timely resolution to this issue," she concluded.

The film as of now is slated to release on 22nd March, 2024.
