Rasha Thadani Calls Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma Her ‘Godparents’ Amid Their Breakup Rumours

Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, has officially stepped into Bollywood with Azaad, which hit theatres on January 17, 2025, and later premiered on Netflix. As she navigates her journey in the industry, she credits Tamannaah Bhatia for being a strong pillar of support. Despite the ongoing breakup rumours of Tamannaah and Vijay Varma, Rasha calls them her godparents, revealing how special they are to her.

In a conversation with Filmfare, Rasha recalled her first meeting with Tamannaah at a birthday party. She shared how a live singer was performing at the event, and both of them ended up dancing near the stage, instantly forming a connection. That moment marked the beginning of a strong bond, which only grew over time. Speaking about their closeness, Rasha said, "Currently, Tamannaah and Vijay (Varma) are the closest to me; they are like my godparents."

When asked to define love in today’s world, Rasha admitted that she hasn’t experienced it yet. She reflected on how social media, texts, and dating apps have changed modern relationships, making them quite different from the old-school romance of the past. While she acknowledged both perspectives, she confessed that she personally prefers traditional love over digital connections.

Azaad is an action-adventure film featuring newcomers Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani alongside Ajay Devgn, Diana Penty, Mohit Malik, and Piyush Mishra. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, with Abhishek Nayyar and Abhishek Kapoor as co-producers, the film premiered on Netflix on March 14.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma, who met in 2022 and worked together in Lust Stories 2, have parted ways. A close source revealed, "Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma parted ways weeks ago as a couple, but they plan to remain good friends. Both have been working hard in their respective schedules." Despite the breakup rumours, Rasha’s statement highlights the strong personal connection she still shares with both of them.
