Ranveer Singh's EMOTIONAL Good-bye

Ranveer Singh recently wrapped up shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavati" and with that his powerful role of Alauddin Khilji also ended!

Just like his Bajirao character in his last period drama, "Bajirao Mastani", even Alauddin's character has been the dearest to the actor. He was the first one who kick started the shooting for "Padmavati" with SLB and he is now the last one to end it!

With a heavy heart, and emotional words, RS penned down a beautiful message and bid "Padmavati" a final good-bye!

"And it's a wrap! Goodbye Alauddin. One year and a few weeks later, I bid thee farewell. May your restless soul find its peace... Khilji," said Ranveer.

The actor's aggressive avatar as Khilji -- as seen in the poster of the film -- caught the attention of Bollywood buffs. He sports kohl eyes, long tresses and a scar on his face for the role of the anti-hero in the period drama.

Deepika essays the title role in the movie, which sets out to tell the tale of the valour and heroism of Rajputs. Shahid Kapoor features as her husband.
