Ranveer Penns down a letter after the response for Padmaavat!

Ranveer Singh will be seen playing a negative character of Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmaavat".

Ranveer Singh who plays the darkest character in the magnum opus "Padmaavat" has been receiving more than a great response from the industry as well as from the critics and the audiences.

Many of them have also said that the ever-energetic actor has owned the film. On receiving such positive and powerful response from the audience he penned down a letter and shared it on his social media accounts.

His letter reads, "I saw 'Padmaavat' in 3D last night. I am so overwhelmed with the film at this point that words fail me. I feel immensely blessed.

"I am so proud of my team. Team for the win! High tens and monster hugs to everyone. I am relieved and happy with the reactions to my performance. Thank you all for your kind and generous praise.

The 32-year-old expressed his gratitude for Bhansali, saying he has shaped him into the artiste that he has become today.

Sanjay sir has given me a gift of a character that I will forever be indebted to him for in my life, more than I already am. You have shaped me into the artiste that I am, sir. I love you.

Without addressing the row surrounding the film, Ranveer requested people to give the film a chance, saying is something the country will be proud of.1

For me, the sheer toil of a film's team has translated as magic on the big screen. And today on the eve of the release of a beloved film, I wish you all a Happy Republic Day in advance and invite you all to the cinema halls.

I am proud to be a part of a film that our whole country can be proud of. Jai Hind."

Ranveer's co-star Alia Bhatt also praised the star for his performance. She tweeted, "Ranveer Singh you magnificent person! How you've done this??? Epic epic epic! Blown me away and how! Pure magic in Padmavat!!!!!! @RanveerOfficial #Padmavat" (Sic).
