Randeep Rai to star opposite Shivangi Joshi in 'Balika Vadhu 2'

It was only a while ago we reported about how Balika Vadhu 2 is amping things up with the leap planned in store. Just like the first season, the show is expected to continue the legacy with popular and loved grown up characters. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Shivangi Joshi has been roped in to play the titular role of grown-up Anandi in the show and now another major casting update has come in.

Just like Joshi will play the grown-up Anandi, the grown-up character of Jigar Anjaariya will be played by none other than actor Randeep Rai. That's right. A report in ETimes TV suggested that Rai will indeed play the role and thus be paired opposite Joshi. Just like the inaugural instalment, the show is all set to embark on a new journey following the time leap. The cast will be doing a mock shoot in a couple of days.

As known, Rai did plenty of TV shows earlier starring in shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum, O Gujariya and others but it was his character in the Sony TV show, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai that made him popular and in fact, a household name. His on-screen chemistry with Ashi Singh in that show was extremely appreciated.

One would hope that Rai and Joshi, being a first-time pairing are able to exhibit the same firewworks they did with their respective shows, Yeh Un Dinon... and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
