Actor Ranbir Kapoor is currently enjoying the praises showered upon him for his latest on-screen appearance in Shamshera. Now the Wake-Up Sid actor has resumed the shooting of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ in Delhi.

According to the latest reports, the handsome hunk will be seen essaying the role of a ruthless gangster in the movie.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Ranbir Kapoor disclosed that he will play a merciless gangster in Animal, with Anil Kapoor will be seen playing his father's character. When asked how he handles the first grey assignment of his career? Ranbir retorted that hearing the writing had astounded him. He acknowledges that this character is the most surprising one he has ever played. He admits that he is afraid to return to the movie.

He also said, "As an actor, it's a fantastic chance for me. Nobody anticipates me taking on such a position. I'm hoping the audience is prepared for my film".

Talking about the necessary preparations for the role Ranbir said that he had to get the grey tones just right and that physicality contributed to the character's physically frightening tendencies. The actor also mentioned that he bulked up considerably for the part.

Along with Ranbir and Anil, Animal also has Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol in its ensemble cast. Apart from this Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, co-starring Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, on 11th September. After that, he will be seen in Luv Ranjan’s untitled romantic-comedy-drama alongside Shraddha Kapoor, which releases on Holi 2023.
