Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently revealed that his uncle Randhir Kapoor is suffering from Dementia. While promoting late Rishi Kapoor's final film, Sharmaji Namkeen, the actor confirmed the diagnosis while discussing Randhir's reaction to his father's posthumous release.

Ranbir revealed in a recent interview that Randhir inquired about Rishi Kapoor after watching Sharmaji Namkeen. "After the film, my uncle Randhir Kapoor approached me and said, 'Tell dad that he is amazing, and let's call him,'" he told NDTV in an interview.

Randhir Kapoor is the father of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor. The film veteran is frequently photographed out and about in Mumbai, and photos of him with his daughters, wife Babita, and grandchildren Jeh, Taimur, Samaira, and Kiaan appear on social media frequently. Kareena and Karisma are yet to respond to Ranbir's big news.

The late Rishi Kapoor stars in Sharmaji Namkeen, which is now available on Amazon Prime Video. The actor passed away due to cancer, before the film could be completed. Actor Paresh Rawal stepped in to complete the film. Numerous celebrities have teamed up to promote the film and pay tribute to the late actor.

Ranbir previously stated in a promotional video for the film that he intended to shoot Sharmaji Namkeen with prosthetics. "The show must continue," he'd stated. "You've all heard it, but I've seen it play out in my father's life."

"We considered using visual effects or having me wear prosthetics to round out the role, but neither option worked. It was a trying time for everyone. That is when Mr. Paresh Rawal entered the picture. It was extremely kind of him to accept this challenge," the actor stated in the video.

Along with Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, the film directed by Hitesh Bhatia also stars Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, and Satish Kaushik in the lead roles.
