Ramanand Sagar's great granddaughter Sakshi Chopra accuses Netflix series makers of sexual harrasment

In a recent Instagram post, Sakshi Chopra, a popular internet personality and the great-granddaughter of renowned Indian filmmaker Ramanand Sagar, has come forward with serious allegations against the makers of the web series "Social Currency." In her heartfelt statement, Chopra claims that she was subjected to sexual harassment, deceived, and deprived of basic necessities during her participation in the show.

Opening her post with a powerful statement, Chopra writes, "SEXUAL HARASSMENT at @netflix_in @solproductions_. I only signed because one call a day was PROMISED - In my contract." She goes on to mention how she initially refused the show but was pursued relentlessly by Netflix, even leading to a respectful team meeting to assure her of the show's nature. 

Chopra further alleges that the showrunner, identified as @showrunnerchad, bombarded her with calls and messages, begging her to be a part of the series.

According to Chopra, she was misled into believing that "Social Currency" was solely a game show focused on fun tasks like singing and content creation, with no gossip or drama involved. However, the reality turned out to be starkly different from what was promised. Chopra claims that the contestants, including herself, were deprived of basic necessities, including food, even behind the cameras. While she admires the determination of other participants who endured such conditions, she states that she refuses to compromise her principles for fame or any streaming platform.

Expressing her frustration, Chopra questions the integrity of the production team, wondering how they could resort to lies and deceit in order to secure her signature on the contract and lock her in a house. She believes that her bold fashion choices led the makers to assume that she would be tolerant of such unfavorable circumstances. For Chopra, her passion lies in music, family, self-expression, and peace, and she emphasizes that these are the only things she desires in her life.

The internet personality concludes her post by reiterating that she made it explicitly clear that she would only sign the contract if she received a daily call and could stay connected with her mother. However, after securing her participation, the promises made were conveniently ignored, leaving Chopra feeling betrayed and disrespected.
