Rakulpreet Fails to Respond to the NCB, Claims Not Receiving Summons

On Wednesday, the Narcotics Control Bureau issued summons to top Bollywood actresses including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh in the drugs-case, in connection to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe.

Deepika and Shraddha's names cropped up after a set of WhatsApp chats exchanged between the stars allegedly discussing drugs and illegal substances went viral. On the other hand, Sara Ali Khan and Rakulpreet Singh were named by Rhea Chakraborty, who is currently in judicial custody.

However, Rakul's team claims that they have not received any summons from the NCB. The actress was supposed to join the probe but she is currently in Hyderabad and unlikely to arrive in Mumbai today for the questioning.

Meanwhile, the NCB clarifies that it had issued the summon to Rakulpreet on Wednesday itself. The NCB also stated that it tried to contact the actress through various platforms but she has not responded. 

On the other hand, Deepika, along with her manager Karishma Prakash, has been called for questioning on September 25 and Sara and Shradhha have been called on September 26 2020.
