Rakul Preet Singh REVEALS What Her First Conversation With Jackky Bhagnan Was: ‘Dekh If You Are Looking For..’

Rakul Preet Singh, who tied the knot with producer-actor Jackky Bhagnani in February 2024, recently spoke about the beginning of their relationship and how both of them were on the same page from the very start.

In an interview with Subhojit Ghosh, the actress shared that their first dinner date was less about small talk and more about being upfront with each other about what they wanted.

“That was the first dinner conversation. On our first dinner date. I was single, I was not rushing into a relationship and neither was he,” she said. “I was at a point where I did not want a casual relationship and neither did he. We chatted, we ate dinner and I said, ‘Ke dekh, if you are looking for a casual relationship then let’s not do this. You know, like we are meeting 10 times and there is nothing serious.’”

Rakul clarified that she wasn’t putting pressure on where the relationship should go, but she wanted to know if Jackky was emotionally and mentally open to something serious.

“I’m not saying that we are going to end up in a serious space, but are you in that space emotionally and mentally? Kahi baar hota hai na ke whoever I find, I hope this is it. So we were both in that headspace,” she added.

She also pointed out that they both came into the relationship with a sense of maturity.

“We were also not very young, right? We were not like 20-21 ke bachpan a hai. So we came with a strong sense of individuality where both of us were very sure ke we are not going to suck up each other’s energies but we are only going to add up to it.”

Rakul and Jackky got married on February 21, 2024, in Goa in an intimate ceremony attended by family and close friends. They had a traditional yet minimal wedding with rituals from both Punjabi and Sindhi cultures.
