Hrithik Roshan’s 2000 film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai is still admired and appreciated by the audience even today. Amidst the ongoing Coronavirus outburst, filmmakers have already started registering movie titles to be made on the related subject. One such name that has come to the surface is ‘Corona Pyaar Hai’, which is clearly a spin to Hrithik-Amisha’s film.
Reacting to the same, Hrithik’s dad and producer of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Rakesh Roshan lashed out as he told Mid Day in an interview, “It’s a mockery of the situation that the world is combating. It’s childish and immature to do such a thing at this time. We should ignore these people as they are not thinking straight.”
Reportedly, the film title ‘Corona Pyaar Hai’ was registered by Eros International with the Indian Film and Television Producers Council last week. According to the report, the script of the film is being fine-tuned now.
IMPPA (Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association) also told TOI that they have witnessed film producers rushing in to register corona based film titles.
Further, Rakesh Roshan stated: “There is no similarity between the two films. Even with regard to the names, their title Corona Pyaar Hai has a different meaning to it. So, I cannot do anything about it.”
