Rajinikanth’s Coolie OTT Rights Sold for 120 Crore? Here’s What We Know

Rajinikanth's upcoming film Coolie is one of the most awaited movies of the year. Fans are excited to see the superstar in another action-packed role. According to reports, the movie’s digital rights have been sold to Amazon Prime Video for a huge amount of ?120 crore. While the makers have not confirmed this yet, if true, it would make Coolie one of the highest OTT deals ever.

Reports also suggest that Rajinikanth’s last blockbuster, Jailer, was bought by the same platform for ?100 crore. With Coolie, the price has gone even higher, showing the massive demand for Rajinikanth’s films.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is expected to be a full-action entertainer. While the story is still a mystery, Rajinikanth will reportedly play a character with grey shades, making his role even more exciting. The movie also features big names like Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao in important roles. Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir are also part of the film, while Pooja Hegde will make a special appearance in a dance number.

Earlier, there were rumours that Coolie might release on the same date as War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. However, the latest buzz suggests that the clash has been avoided.

Rajinikanth was last seen in Vettaiyan, a police action drama where he played an IPS officer known for encounter cases. Apart from Coolie, he is also gearing up for Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The sequel will continue the story of Jailer, with Rajinikanth returning as “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian. With so much excitement around Coolie, fans are eagerly waiting for an official release date and teaser.
