Rajinikanth lauds R. Madhavan for Rocketry; says his work was on par with greatest filmmakers

R Madhavan is currently basking in the success of his film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. In the movie, Madhavan portrays Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) who is credited with creating effective liquid fuel engines and later got involved in an espionage controversy.

Madhavan not only produced and directed the movie, but he also wrote it. Actor Rajinikanth applauded the movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect after seeing it in a private screening. Rajinikanth referred to it as "a must watch" on Twitter, particularly for young people.

Additionally, he gave Madhavan his congratulations and noted that his work was on par with that of the very greatest filmmakers. Rajinikanth posted a message in Tamil on Twitter.

The note's translation said, “Rocketry is a must-watch movie for everyone - especially the youth. For the space research development of our country, Mr Padma Bhushan Nambi Narayanan suffered many hardships and made sacrifices. Madhavan has proved himself to be at par with the best directors in his first film as a director by portraying the story of Nambi Narayanan very realistically. My thanks and appreciation to him for giving me such a movie."

Recently, Madhavan was questioned if he intended to direct another film while promoting Rocketry. There are no urgent plans, he claimed.  He said that he doesn't believe he's capable of directing once again. It's a taxing process, and he currently has no plans to steer it. Even with Rocketry, he took on the role since he didn't have time to approach another director after the former one who was attached to the project was forced to leave owing to his prior commitments. He felt it was his obligation to take the position because Mr. Nambi encouraged him and believed in him.
