The graceful beauty of television and Gujarati theater, Apara Mehta who is currently seen in 'Jamai Raja' on Zee TV is upset about the way television is shaping up these days.
In a candid conversation with Tellybuzz, the actor mentioned about how television shows promote our regressive mentality and nothing more.
She said, "All we see today is naagins, supernatural and mythological shows and surprisingly they are the ones which have the highest TRP's. I feel somewhere down the line, the viewers are also responsible along with the producers as they would not make shows like these if the viewers did not like it."
"I am also very disappointed with the kind of actors being roped in as actors. Today any layman can call himself an 'actor'. I would like to tell people and the aspirants that acting is one of the toughest professions. It is a tough form of art. People these days take up one or two cameos or for that matter one show to tag themselves as an 'actor' and think they have made it big on television." she added.
