"My role in the next show is not a cameo"- Daya Shankar Pandey

Recently, we reported about an array of actors set to star in the upcoming Panorama Entertainment's show on Star Plus.

The list included Neil Bhatt, Amardeep Jha, Rose Sardana, Ishita Ganguly and Payal Rajput. The latest to join this list is veteran actor, Daya Shanker Pandey who is best known for his 'Inspector Chaloo Pandey' act on 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah'.

We contacted the actor, who said, "Yes, I am doing the show and have shot for the pilot episode three days ago. Though, I am not allowed to reveal much about my role. All I can say is that it is a role with positive shades."

On being asked if it is a cameo or an on-going role, "It is certainly not a cameo. I remember my 'Chaloo Pandey' act was intended as a cameo, however, the popularity led it to become an on-going sporadic role. So, I don't do cameos on television now. It is a powerful and on-going role."
