Excerpts...

How would you describe your journey in X Factor India as?
Totally exciting with both ups and downs. But at the same time I am glad that I did not give a consistently bad performance and kept on improving with each act.

You were really worried about your parents and their support, how was their reaction when you were eliminated?
They are sad, but not to an extent that I had expected as they are happy that I have reached till here. I am glad that my father finally is supporting me.

Do you still have the guilt in you?
Not at all.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali supported you a lot when you got eliminated, what would you like to say?
I am really grateful that such big celebrities are supporting me and they believe in my talents. I am really happy that they have been great judges till the end.

Do you think Sonu Nigam was unfair to you?
Not at all because the next moment he voted me out, he came up to me and said sorry. I felt really awkward that such a great singer was coming to me and apologizing.

Have you thought that Amit should have been there instead of you?
Not really because I knew that the performance I gave was not really appealing. Frankly speaking I did not expect to be in the bottom two after last week. And for the same reason I was not very careful in selecting the songs.

What do you think went wrong in your final performance?
I guess I should have selected a better song for my performance because even I felt the disconnection with the song during my performance.

Any plans after you return home?
Not really, I will continue singing with my band.

How was it training under a singer like Sonu Nigam?
Sonu Sir is awesome and I admire the versatility of his voice. He is capable of singing any style and I really learnt a lot from him. The most important thing is confidence that he built up in me. During my performance I used to think that I am the king of the song and the audiences sitting are uneducated about it. That's why my previous performances turned out to be great.

Given a choice, who would you have selected as your mentor?
Sonu Ji always.

How are planning for the wild card entry if it's there?
I do not know if there will be one, but if there is, then I am really going to work hard on my singing.

Who was your greatest competitor in the show?
I feel Nirmiti and Deewana group are really big competitors.

Who do you think should win X Factor India?
I would like to see Nirmiti and Deewana in the finals.
