In a candid chat, the actress describes her role and her experience.

Actually my aunt is a costume designer and I was with her one day roaming around. Her friends noticed me after which I started receiving calls. Frankly speaking, I never wanted to do serials but eventually I am into it.
Can you describe something about your role?
Abhilasha is a very sweet girl and she hails from a small town who gets married at a very young age. She later on shifts to Mumbai with her husband.
Can you share something about yourself?
I am basically from Mumbai where I was born and brought up. I am presently pursuing my First Year BA.
How did acting happen to you?
Acting has always been there in me, ever since my childhood. My parents have always supported me and it was my mother's dream to see me as a Miss Universe.
Was it difficult to start off with the role?
Initially,it was difficult. But an amazing director oozed out our potential. Today when I see myself, I won't say that I am a beginner. I am very confident.
Do you remember the first scene you shot for the show?
Yes, I do remember. It was at CST station wherein we had to walk aimlessly and then get into a taxi. It was fun shooting the scene.
How different or similar are you, to Abhilasha?
I personally am a little different from Abhilasha. I think I am a little materialistic. I need some basic necessities and I don't totally agree with people who say, 'Mujhe bas pyaar hi chaahiye'. But at the same time I value relationships as well, wherein family and friends are also important.
Do you find it difficult to fit into the daily soap category?
It indeed is very difficult. The 12 hours of shoot in itself is very hectic. It was initially difficult to cope with it but then later on we got used to it.
How is it working with Ankit?
Initially, we used to fight a lot on the sets because he used to be a prankster and he used to pull everyone's legs including my mother, who comes on the sets daily. He doesn't spare the director and not even Rajita Ma'am. We never used to see each other's face. But then later on, we were made realize how important it was to develop a chemistry between us because that will be seen on screen. Now we are good friends.
How is the experience working with Magic Lantern?
It has been great working with the production house. They pamper us so much. It is really nice working with them.
You portray a very mature character at such a young age. Weren't you apprehensive about taking up such a role?
Not really. The only thing I did not want was to be portrayed as someone older, which they assured that they would not.
