‘Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan’ actress Neeharika Roy talks about Republic Day

After living in the tyranny that the British Rule turned out to be, India won back its freedom on August 15, 1947. And to ensure the smooth running of the whole country, the Constitution was drafted and it came to effect on January 26, 1950. The special day reminds us the re-independence we got as individuals after getting free from the suppression of the britishers in our country. Even today whenever we raise our flag and sing our national anthem, it instills a sense of pride and patriotism in our hearts. 

And as India celebrates its 74th Republic Day today, we got in touch with Neerahika Roy who plays the character of Radha in Zee TV show ‘Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan’. We asked the beautiful actress about her thoughts on the glorious occasion.

She said, “I remember when I was in school, I used to always perform on stage in the special Republic Day celebration. My friends and I used to start the rehearsal a month in advance and choose tricolour outfits and songs like ‘Des Rangila’ for the performance”.

She added, “This year, I am planning to watch the parade with my family on TV in the morning. I would like to wish all the citizens of India a very Happy Republic Day and request them to do their bit by at least planting and keeping the surroundings clean.”
