...And the trailer manages to build intrigue to a story that seemingly had little to offer.

AltBalaji is back with another season of Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat. The web series banks on the massive popularity of hit duo Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor who were last seen on TV in Bade Acche Lagte Hai. On the digital platform, Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat did very well with viewers who couldn't get enough of the pair. This time around, we get a peak into a new angle to the relationship between Karan and Tipsy. Here's what it looks like-
The promo
The promo begins by introducing a lot more nok-jhok in the new season. Tipsy is shutting Karan out as she accuses him of not improving over the months. There's multiple shots of the several disagreements the adorable duo have and indication of something rather dark approaching. A plan of getting Tipsy married to Vishal is at work and she doesn't comply while Karan gets jealous as he's seen more of an older brother in her life. Karan and Tipsy's pasts come back to haunt them in the form of Radhika (Shweta Kawatra) and Palash (Samir Kochhar).
The Good
Karrle Tu Bhi Mohattabat Season 2's trailer does manage to build intrigue. The already complex relationship between the lead characters is put to a test and we think watching how they react to a new set of challenges will be fun. The angle of having a past that creeps up in their lives is interesting as we see the fun nuances and run-ins shift to something darker. It's a sign that this season may be a light-hearted watch, but something more complicated which will work in their favour.
The Bad
The promo is a good look at the upcoming season but it shows the same representation of a Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor pairing. On the other hand, the entry of Palash was over dramatised and the shot did look like it's straight out of a TV drama (which the digital medium should be departing from). While they have managed to give the audiences something new with the previous season, it did get a little slow and monotonous. We won't be surprised to find that this one runs it course too soon as well.
Verdict
We like how the promo leaves you wondering about the many threats of the past. It generates enough dramatic elements to get a viewer to, at the least, check out the first episode and in saying so, it does the job well. Keeping in mind the return of the past, the possibility of the series regressing into a drama more suited for TV, we are a tad bit skeptical about the season's scope.
