The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) recently raided producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s residence and reportedly recovered 10 grams of marijuana at the filmmaker's home which is located in a plush area in the western suburbs of Mumbai.
While the NCB’s crackdown in the drug case saga continues and there have been shocking developments in the on-going case.
Now, the case has once again seen a new development after the raid at the filmmaker’s house. ANI reported that Nadiadwala’s wife Shabana Saeed, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on Sunday, has been taken for a medical examination.
ANI also confirmed that the filmmaker has also been summoned for questioning by the NCB.
“Film producer Firoz Nadiadwala's wife and four drug peddlers who were arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau in a drug-related case yesterday, being taken for their medical examination Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has also summoned Firoz Nadiadwala,” read ANI’s tweet.
During his recent interaction with SpotboyE, Firoz commented about the on-going controversy and said, “The truth will be out. Pray for me, Bhai.” However, he did not make any comment on the allegations of procurement of drugs leveled against Shabana
Another ETimes report mentioned NCB’s zonal director - Sameer Wankhede on Sunday confirmed Shabana’s arrest stated that she has been arrested under section 67 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
“On Saturday, we conducted a major strike in Western Mumbai and Navi Mumbai where we recovered ganja in commercial quantity, Mephedrone, and other different drugs. We also intercepted five peddlers and based on that we conducted and recovered some drugs today morning from his house which was supposed to be part of the same seizure," Sameer Wankhede of NCB had told ETimes.
For the uninitiated, producer Firoz Nadiadwala is a prominent producer in Bollywood and has produced several films including Welcome, Welcome Back, Phir Hera Pheri, Aan: Men At Work, Awara Paagal Deewana, Ghar Ho To Aisa, and others.
