Priyanka Chopra is a remarkably versatile actress, excelling in both Bollywood and Hollywood productions. While all of her performances are praised and celebrated, her role in "Bajirao Mastani" holds a special significance. According to Priyanka's mother, Madhu Chopra, portraying Kashi Bai was one of the most demanding roles for her daughter.
In an interview with Lehren, Priyanka's mother was asked to choose her daughter's most memorable performance. She selected both "Barfi!" and "Bajirao Mastani".
Kashibai was very hard because there were tight shots, and it was all on the face. The expressions were everything. Sanjay [Leela] Bhansali is not an easy director, and to keep him pleased in the sense that he is satisfied with the performance... that was the target. That was something she was very focused on. There were no distractions, she would not even talk inside her van during that time

During the interview, Madhu shared that she was unaware of any reported disagreements between Priyanka and Bhansali. These rumors of a falling out began when Priyanka wasn't offered the lead role in "Ram Leela." Despite this, her song "Ram Chahe Leela" from the film has garnered its own dedicated fanbase. Priyanka was reportedly pleased when she was later approached for the role of Mary Kom.
On the professional front, Priyanka will next be seen in SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated project, tentatively titled SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu. Apart from this, she has an exciting lineup ahead, including Heads of State, directed by Ilya Naishuller, where she will share screen space with Idris Elba and John Cena. Additionally, she is set to feature in The Bluff, helmed by Frank E. Flowers.
