Prabhu Deva embraces fatherhood at 50; welcomes baby girl with second wife

Renowned choreographer and director Prabhu Deva, has become a proud father once again, welcoming his first child with his second wife, Himani Singh. The news of their new arrival was confirmed by Prabhu Deva himself in an interview with ETimes, expressing his immense joy and contentment. At the age of 50, he couldn't contain his excitement as this baby girl marked the first daughter in their family, adding a new dynamic to their household. 

In light of this good news, Prabhu Deva revealed his desire to dedicate as much time as possible to his newborn daughter. Recognising the importance of family and wanting to cherish this new phase of his life, he shared that he has consciously reduced his workload, choosing to be present and actively involved with his loved ones. He expressed his longing to create lasting memories and enjoy the precious moments with his daughter, emphasising the need to prioritise family over work. 

For the unversed, Prabhu Deva tied the knot with Dr Himani, a physiotherapist, in 2020. Prabhu Deva's brother announced their marriage during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the couple opting for an intimate ceremony due to the prevailing lockdown restrictions. The wedding was a low-key affair, attended by only a select few, in adherence to the safety protocols imposed by the pandemic. Interestingly, Prabhu Deva and Himani's story began when he sought treatment for chronic back pain, and someone recommended Himani as a physiotherapist. During their therapy sessions, love blossomed between them, leading to their eventual union.

Following their marriage, Prabhu Deva and Himani first publicly appeared in April 2023. The couple visited the famous pilgrimage site of Tirupati to seek blessings, and their pictures and videos went viral.

Before his relationship with Himani, Prabhu Deva was previously married to Latha for 16 years. However, the couple eventually divorced. They had three children named Vishal, Rishi Raghavendra Deva, and Adith Deva. Tragically, Vishal passed away due to cancer, adding a poignant chapter to Prabhu Deva's journey.
