Dev Aditya, currently a part of Dangal TV's show Mann Sundar, got in an exclusive chat with India Forums and reflected on his journey in the world of glitz and glam. The actor also remembered his journey from Barrister Babu to Mann Sundar and spilt some beans.
From playing a parallel lead to a main lead, Do you consider Mann Sundar a milestone?
I do. Post Barrister Babu, it was my motto to crack a lead role with lots of shades, and fortunately, Mann Sundar is the number one show of Dangal. We have also managed to secure very good TRPs post-leap.
Tell us about your journey into the world of showbiz; why did you decide to quit engineering and become an actor?
I just wanted to complete my graduation. I was never interested in engineering. My father wanted me to pursue engineering, and I did it for him. He wanted me to settle down, and hence I also started working. I continued working for one and a half years. However, my father started suffering from severe health issues, and we lost him to liver cyrossis in 2016. After he passed away, I decided to do what I loved and joined an acting school. This is how I started my journey.
Are you looking ahead for that one big break that will earn you enough recognition?
Absolutely. The sky is the limit. I am looking for that one break that will boost my career.
Who is that one actor who you want to work with on television?
I would love to work with Ronit Roy. I really look up to him.
