Popular Manmarzian actor in an exciting web-series titled 'Starting Up'!

Last seen in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat (Colors), the Dosti.. Yariyaan.. Manmarzian (Star Plus) actress Monica Sehgal is all set to enter the digital space!

The 'Sandhya Mridul' of television will soon be seen in a one-of-a-kind web series titled Starting Up'. Produced by Kairos Productions, the series will narrate the story of how a married couple, not only live through the nuances of life together but also support each other's professional ambitions to become something in life. Monica will play the female lead opposite Hitesh Malukani, who perfected Belle's pompous suitor Gaston's strutting, swollen-chested walk in the Disney animation film, 'Beauty and The Beast'.

Shedding some light on the web series which is scheduled to launch in this month, Monica stated, "I am a media student and it is very important for me to know the kind of content involved in a project before I take it up. Television is a medium which requires the projection of stereotypical household characters. Digital being the next big thing, I was confident of experimenting with my talent."

Does this mean that we won't get to watch Monica on TV henceforth?

She averred, "Well, I wouldn't agree to that. All that matters most to me is the versatility of the character offered to me. I cannot do something run-of-the-mill. Be it TV or a digital medium, the content is most important. Starting Up' is unconventional as we majorly see a lot of humour based content floating around the internet. This series is a subject based and I am really excited for it!"
