‘Planning to resume the shoot of Sadak 2,’ says co-producer Mukesh Bhatt; makers cancel Ooty schedule!

The extension of shoots has milled a lot of problems for the producers of upcoming projects. With monsoon nearing, sets are always feared of being demolished due to the rains which would be an addition to the pre-existing problems.

But, filmmakers and producers can finally breathe a sigh of relief as Maharashtra Government has granted permission to Shooting of films, television serials and digital series in non-containment zones in Maharashtra in the latest phase of the lockdown with certain conditions. The order was issued by the state government on June 11, 2020. 

Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 has also found itself in trouble due to the coronavirus outbreak. The film will see stars including Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles.

Amid the approval from Maharashtra Government to start Shooting, Sadak 2 is also set to resume the shoot. In a recent interaction with Mid-day, the makers of Sadak 2 will most probably resume the shoot by the first week of July.

The upcoming film’s co-producer Mukesh Bhatt said, “We are planning to resume the shoot of Sadak 2 by the first week of July.” The film’s shoot has a long way to go and it seems the shooting might take some time before calling it a wrap. 

According to the schedule decided previously, Alia, Sanjay, Pooja, and Aditya was supposed to shoot a song which featured them. However, due to the pandemic, the shoot will now be conducted in Film City, Mumbai.
