Pavail Gulati on Goodbye co stars:Rashmika gave best back massages; I don't know how Amitabh Sir works so much

The film Goodbye starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna, Neena Gupta, Pavail Gulati and others in pivotal roles has been making quite a noise. The Vikas Bahl directorial was released in thaetres on 7th October and have received mixed reviews.

Actor Pavail Gulati, who played Amitabh Bachchan's son in the film had a chat with India Forums about his role, his co-stars and the film in general. When asked, "After watching the film, what actually struck the most is that you had two such key scenes, one extremely emotional and one hilarious one. One was the pani puri scene where your character realizes your mother isn't there calling her out and the other was the extremely funny haircut scene! As an actor, did you mark these scenes, and how did you prep for them?

Taking about the same he said, "

"So I do not do too much prep as an actor, it doesn't work for me. I get anxious and then I try to build it up in my head and all, so the best thing that works for me is getting to know the scene on that day itself. I tell the directors not to let me know about the scene before 10, 15 days, just tell me on that day, that this is the scene you are doing, because that really works for me."

He further added, 

"So as the film was shot during the pandemic, that time was very tough for me. It worked in the manner to generate emotions. It was a tough scene to do but we build that craft to do it, but in the end, it is Vikas. The lines were written so beautifully and I was also really scared because that scene was with Mr. Bachchan and Sunil Grover and Sunil is a master of comedy. I was like he is going to take this over on his own but Sunil Sir was coming to me after every shot and telling me, you did it so well. It was great all of them supported me, which made me do it masterfully."

Pavail also talked about his co-stars. He said,

"Rashmika is a fireball of energy. she gives the best massages. She has strong hands and whenever you are tired, she will come from the back and she will start pressing your back, she's lovely and she just lights up the sets."

He also added,

"There is no one like Mr. Bachchan. We have learned so much from him and this is the 2nd time that I am working with him. He has been the kindest person ever. I keep on meeting him at Diwali parties. He always invites me. He is a person who has more than 24 hours in a day. Because I don't know how he works so much  He has so much energy and he is all standing and working."

The film Goodbye is a family drama that takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
