"Padmavati" to be postpone??

Sanjay Leela Bansali's magnum opus "Padmvati", is a month away from it's release. The movie is facing problems since the time it has been announced and it doesn't seem to end anytime soon. Recently BJP Government decided to try and delay the release of this historical movie, stating that it might increase the political tension and hurt the sentiment of 'Kshatriya' community.

According to the reports the spokesperson of BJP said, "We are writing to the ECI, CBFC and the Central Government, seeking to stop the film's release for a temporary period till the issue is resolved". He further said, they are requesting Election Commission, "to arrange for a pre-release viewing of the film by select Rajput representatives to alleviate their raised tempers and provide fair opportunity to prevent unnecessary tension ahead of polls".

When we asked the spokesperson from the team, if the makers have thought to postpone the release date they said, "There might be no change in the release date but, still we are not sure as it has not been confirmed by the production house. However, when we asked them if the makers are planning to place a screening for the Rajput representatives' other spokesperson replied, "We are not sure about it as yet as there has been no confirmation from the team itself."

Earlier the director was assaulted by Rajput Karni Sena workers, and the set was burnt down in Kolhapur.

The movie is set to release on 1st December. "Padmavati", is about Rani Padmavati, essayed by Deepika st Padukone. The lead cast also includes, Ranveer Singh as Alluddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh.
