The 92nd Academy Awards on Sunday rolled out it’s red carpet at Dolby Theaters in Los Angeles, California, for all the Hollywood biggies to strut in their sartorial glory. And as expected the show did not disappoint us, because it displayed some of the most stunning looks we could talk about. Courtesy of the star attendees’ and their spectacular style team, think eye-popping colours, billowy gowns, along with shimmering finery and abundant bling. Here’s putting together our listical of the fashion hits and misses from the year's most awaited red-carpet party....
Miss: Billie Eilish was a Chanel logo explosion. The singer may just be a fan of it, but too much of logo doesn’t seem fit for a red-carpet event.
Hit: Janelle Monae stole the red carpet show in a Ralph Lauren designed sparkly hoody gown that ended with a voluminous skirt.
Hit: Penelope Cruz livid upto her movie star status in a classic black gown as she swept all the onlookers away with a Chanel gown.
Hit: Renee Zellweger glided down the Academy Awards carpet in a outfit worthy of an award itself. She wore an Armani Prive one-shoulder gown.
Miss: Soairse Ronan looked as though she was inspired from Cardi B’s oyster shell look from last year.
Miss: Margot Robbie played down her award show look with a black georgette Chanel dress which looked extremely basic.
Hit: Natalie Portman made a powerful feminist move by opting for a Maria Grazia Chiuri creation that featured names of female directors who were snubbed at the Oscars this year.
Hit: Billy Porter continued to stun everyone with his red-carpet style play. The actor this time opted for a golden gown from Giles Deacon and tons of golden accessories.
Hit: Sandra Oh impressed everyone with a dreamy pale Ellie Saab gown which also featured puffy tulle sleeves. One for the quirky sleeve trend.
Hit: Lilly Singh was indeed a vision in white as she hit the red-carpet in a tuxedo inspired gown by Adeam. She was spectacular!
Hit: Mindy Nailing was a pure ray of sunshine she wore a sunny yellow gown by Dolce And Gabana. The actress brought her A-style game to the carpet.
