Early Wednesday, Indian forces launched missile attacks on nine terror targets in Pakistan and PoK, including Muridke and Bahawalpur. The strikes, a response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26, targeted Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed strongholds. The operation underscores India's resolve against cross-border terrorism, escalating regional tensions.
Following India's Operation Sindoor targeting terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, Veteran actor Anupam Kher has publicly praised the Indian Army for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, a reported military action targeting terror infrastructure across the Line of Control (LoC).
Anupam Kher took to X (formerly Twitter) to write, Bharat Mata Ki Jai #OperationSindoor.

Conducted from within Indian airspace, the strikes were characterised by officials as “measured and non-escalatory."
The Indian Army later confirmed the action with a post from its official handle stating, Justice is served. Jai Hind. Prominent political leaders, including Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, commended the military response, calling it a fitting tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam attack.
Sources indicate that Operation Sindoor, conducted by the Indian Armed Forces, led to the elimination of at least 17 terrorists and left over 60 injured. These precision airstrikes targeted strategic terror-linked locations in Kotli, Ahmadpur Sharqia, Muzaffarabad, Muridke, and Faisalabad. Defence officials highlighted that the mission was carefully executed to prevent escalation and specifically avoided Pakistani military installations.
Meanwhile, Pakistani celebrities have strongly condemned the strikes. They labeled the move as "cowardly," expressing their disapproval of the attacks.
Pakistani actress Mahira Khan reposted writer Fatima Bhutto's criticism of India's Operation Sindoor on her Instagram story. Khan's action, reflecting the sentiment of many Pakistani celebrities, condemns the strikes on alleged terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, amplifying the voices against the military action. “Seriously cowardly!!! May Allah protect our country, may better sense prevail. Ameen."
Actor Hania Aamir's Instagram story featured a one-word condemnation: "Cowardly." This follows geo-restrictions on Pakistani celebrities' accounts in India, including Aamir's, after the Pahalgam attack. Accounts of stars like Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan now state, "Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content."
