Operation Sindoor: Cricket fraternity Joins the nation in saluting Indian army’s bravery

India is beaming with pride today as the country salutes its brave soldiers for successfully carrying out Operation Sindoor, a major counter-terrorism strike that dismantled terror hubs across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK). The coordinated operation, which took place around midnight on May 7, was a strong and strategic retaliation to the horrific Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians on April 22.

The Indian Armed Forces struck nine terror-infested locations linked to outlawed groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen. Two of the most impactful hits were on Bahawalpur and Muridke, known strongholds of JeM and LeT. Intelligence reports suggest around 25 to 30 terrorists were neutralized at each of these major sites, with a total toll estimated between 80 and 90. Among the targeted areas was the infamous Masjid wa Markaz Taiba, described as the ideological headquarters of LeT. The Indian Army later shared a powerful video on social media with the message: "Justice is served."
