Actor Sumeet Vyas is all set and rolling as one of the prized possessions of TVF (The Viral Fever)  - Tripling makes a return with Season 3. Vyas, who is one of the creators, writers and also a member of the lead cast is indeed excited and thrilled as the show has now achieved a cult status.

In an exclusive interview with India Forums, we asked Vyas about multiple things ranging from the challenges he faces to write for a returning season avoiding monotony to now the show being TVF's first one officially to have a third season and the reason for the same and so on.

Q. The show has a legacy to it. I want to ask the writer in you that after having a show about a roadtrip with siblings to now moving onto a family trek in Season 3, what is the biggest challenge you come across while writing to avoid monotony?

For me, roadtrip was always the catalyst in the show. It was always about these three people and the family. Everytime, there is a crisis and how they deal with it which leads them to come closer and get wiser as well. That has always been the show; roadtrip was just the garnishing. And that actually is the biggest challenge as well I guess - there isn't a villain, no bloodshed, no skinshow etc which are usually hacks that get attention. So, we can say that humne apne paav pe kudhaadi maari hai (laughs) but I guess that is the fun of it also. To be relatable to a larger audience and make them feel something. I follow this woman called Maya Angelou, who is one of the finest philosophers ever. And she said something, 'you may forget what someone said to you but you will never forget how you feel.' We are in the business of making people feel. You might forget the dialogues, the songs or so on but you will never forget what you felt while watching that song or scene etc. That is what I chase as a writer, always. I felt something and I want people to feel that with me.

Q. Tripling is officially the first TVF show to have a Season 3. Several other TVF shows have had multiple seasons but this one if the first one to now have a third season in a matter of five years. What do you think is the reason for this show's continuity as opposed to others?

I think that is because it has such a universal appeal. This relationship of siblings is untapped in the fiction industry in India and it is one of the most wonderful and liberating relationships ever. Even when they are in different countries or so, you cannot un-sibling yourself from your sibling (laughs). I can break-up with my wife, my girlfriend etc but you can never breakup with family. It is also in a way one of the most forgiving relationships. Brothers and sisters might have not talked to each other for years and years and even when they meet after that, they pick up from where they left off, because you have seen things together and grown up together. Hence, I guess recreating that with this show is what has appealed as they want to feel the same themselves.

Q. What are your future projects that you can talk about?

Firstly, I just want to plug-in the co-writers that I had for this season. I collaborated with Abbas Dalal, who is also a writer on Bhuvan Bam's show. I also worked with Gopal Tiwari briefly, and of course, Arunabh Kumar, who is there in everything (laughs).

Coming to my future projects, there is a show called Aar Ya Paar that will be coming up soon where it has me, Ashish Vidyarthi, Aditya Rawal (Paresh Rawal's son). Then there is one film that we had done last year which is now most likely to release on Zee5 itself. There should be an announcement about it soon.

Q. Any dream collaboration you hope to have ever?

I mean I have had tremendous admiration for certain directors. For me, I always have had this thing that I want to work this or that director. It has never been about the role but it has always been the people. I have had huge admiration for Sriram Raghavan, I hope through you, he gets to know and thinks about me (laughs) and also someone like Chaitanya Tamhane. I am so jealous of him also where he is so young and done this incredible work with a short film, and then Court and The Disciple recently. So, there are few people I would love work with.

Tripling Season 3 will begin streaming exclusively on Zee5 from 21st October onwards.
