After coming back to India from Australia, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy visited the Tirupati temple. He shared a video on social media, showing him climbing the temple steps on his knees. The video quickly spread like wildfire across social platforms.

Nitish climbed the ancient steps leading to Tirumala from Alipiri in the Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh on his knees. The all-rounder posted a video of his spiritual trek on his Instagram story late Monday night. In a different picture, Nitish was spotted standing in the temple's footsteps, sporting a wide smile on his face.

As per common belief, followers walk this route from Tirupati to Tirumala on foot to fulfill their promises. The path comprises 3550 steps, spanning a 12 km distance.

Following his remarkable series in Australia, Reddy posted on Instagram on Monday morning, From setting alarms to watch Test matches in Australia to gaining a firsthand sense of the Australian shores, the last two months have been nothing short of an opportunity to grow, as a player and a person too. Not the way we wanted to end the series. We’ll be back, tougher and stronger.

Nitish had a great time in Australia even though India didn't do so well, losing 1-3. The 21-year-old, who hadn't played much red-ball cricket before, did impressively in all five Tests. He batted mostly at No.8 but still ended up as one of India's top scorers. Nitish scored 298 runs in the series and also took five wickets, including two in the fifth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
