New actor-director duo on board; Shah Rukh Khan to team up with Rajkumar Hirani for a film?

SRK fans are eagerly waiting for the actor to announce his new project. Earlier, the actor was reported to star in the Rakesh Sharma biopic titled Saare Jahaan Se Achcha but later on, it was reported that the superstar has backed out from the project. 

Later on, there were rumours of King Khan doing the third instalment of Don 3 but director Farhan Akhtar rubbished these rumours. And as per the new reports, King Khan will star in Rajkumar Hirani's new film which will be a love story. It will be produced by Hirani and SRK.

A source close to the development told Mid Day, "People have been waiting for Shah Rukh to announce his next project after Zero. Shah Rukh and Hirani have been meeting since a few months to discuss this. It's almost finalised. Hirani will float his own banner and will not [work] with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, as has been the norm. It's a romantic drama with a strong emotional cord running through; it's right up SRK's alley."

Earlier in April, King Khan in an interaction with media talked about his future projects and at that time he said that he will take a decision on his next film by June.

When the interviewer asked Shah Rukh if he has decided to do any films yet, he said, "No, at this point, I've not decided anything. I think I will take a decision for the next film that I am going to do by June."
