Netflix recently shared a comprehensive viewership data, unveiling the inaugural edition of 'What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report.' This biannual report provides an intricate analysis of viewer habits over a six-month period, encompassing a staggering 18,000 titles globally and a cumulative viewership of nearly 100 billion hours. Among the noteworthy revelations in the report, two Indian productions, the web series "Rana Naidu" and the film "Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga," have secured coveted spots in the Top 500 list.

Leading the charge is the web series "Rana Naidu," featuring powerhouse performances by Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati. This Indian adaptation of the popular American series, Ray Donovan, premiered on March 10, 2023, and quickly captivated audiences, amassing an impressive 46.3 million watch hours on the streaming giant. The narrative unfolds as the series explores the dynamics of a warring father and son duo, skillfully portrayed by the Daggubati duo. Produced by Sunder Aaron and Locomotive Global, with Karan Anshuman at the helm as creator and director alongside Suparn S Varma, "Rana Naidu" has etched its place in the upper echelons of Netflix viewership.

Meanwhile, 'Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga' starring Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal, has carved its own niche in the Top 500 list with an impressive 41.7 million watch hours. The film weaves a gripping tale of an air hostess and her businessman partner embarking on a daring mission to liberate themselves from a menacing loan shark by stealing diamonds. However, the heist takes an unexpected turn when the plane carrying the coveted diamonds becomes entangled in a tense hostage situation.

As the only Indian titles to breach the 40-million-watch-hours milestone, "Rana Naidu" and "Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga" exemplify the global appeal and success of Indian content on the Netflix platform.
