Neha Dhupia recalls being pregnant before her marriage: 'You barely dated the guy…It’s a tough one to have'

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Neha Dhupia opened up about her unexpected pregnancy and the subsequent wedding.

Soha Ali Khan was one of the first to learn about Neha Dhupia's pregnancy, as revealed by Neha herself. “They were the first ones to get to know that we were pregnant. Also, because we were eating in a restaurant and I fainted on Kunal Kemmu. The next morning, we met again, and that’s when I told her that I was pregnant," she said.

Given their long-standing friendship, Neha found it easier to confide in Soha about her pregnancy. “You are also like… not married, you barely dated the guy. This information, no matter how unorthodox or orthodox you are, it’s just easier to share it with your friends, and friends who have just had a baby, as opposed to telling your parents. It’s a tough one to have," she said.

Neha Dhupia mentioned that, despite their close friendship, she couldn't invite Soha to her wedding due to the circumstances. She recalled the chaos of being pregnant at the time. The couple opted for a very private ceremony. She also noted the questions they faced about their relationship, but ultimately, she was happy with how things turned out.

On May 10, 2018, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi celebrated their love in a private ceremony in Delhi. They were married in an intimate Anand Karaj at a gurudwara, attended by only their immediate family and a few friends.

Recently, during an event with dermatologists, Neha Dhupia was asked if she had cosmetic surgery to maintain her youthful appearance. Without hesitation, Dhupia responded, highlighting her yoga practice as the source of her glow and energy, which earned applause from the audience. She then emphasized how such comments are often normalized and can be backhanded, particularly when directed towards women.
