Neelam Kothari was called ‘buddhi’ for getting fillers on camera in ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’

Popular 90s actress Neelam Kothari made a comeback on screen with Karan Johar’s Netflix show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. The reality show followed the personal and professional lives of star wives including Neelam, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey and Seema Khan.

While the show made headlines for various reasons, Neelam left everyone in shock when she underwent an anti-ageing procedure on the show. Speaking about getting fillers on screen, the actress shares that while she received supporting messages from some, other few trolled her as ‘buddhi.’

During the Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives reunion on Clubhouse, Neelam opened up about the mixed responses and said:

“Honestly, I am not sure if it was a very smart thing to do. Because some people were like, ‘Oh, great, you need ba**s to do something like this.’ But on my DMs, I would get messages, ‘Aye buddhi (Hey, old woman)’. So I am not sure if that was a very good idea but of course, you need guts to do something like that.”

Neelam shares that when she signed the show, she had decided to go all out. Her storyline mostly revolved around her contemplating making a comeback to acting after nearly two decades.

Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives is all set to be renewed for the second season.
