Guru Purnima, also known as Vyasa Purnima, is a sacred festival celebrated by Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains to honor and express gratitude to their spiritual teachers or gurus. The word "Guru" refers to someone who dispels darkness and leads their disciples towards enlightenment.

On this auspicious day, disciples gather to pay homage to their gurus, seek their blessings, and express their heartfelt appreciation for their guidance and teachings. It is a time of introspection, devotion, and renewal of the bond between the teacher and the disciple.
