Nawazuddin Will Not Fight for Child Custody; Flew From Mumbai to Escape Media, says Close Source

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya, who has now gone back to her original Hindu name Anjali stirred up a storm after she filed for a divorce against the actor. She also made shocking allegations against the actor and his family and alleged mental and physical torture.

Aaliya also accused Nawazuddin’s brothers of spying on her and stated that she does not want to stay in the marriage anymore as her self respect was over.

She has demanded sole custody for their two kids: Shora and Yaani Siddiqui as she says that Nawazuddin did not have time for his kids and has not met them for the last 3-4 months.

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin is yet to respond to her divorce plea and her allegations. The actor has kept mum as per his lawyers’ advice. “Anything he says can and will be held against him in the media,” a close source told Bollywood Hungama.

Days after Aaliya filed for a divorce, Nawaz left Mumbai and travelled back home to UP. While the actor and his brother Shamas had stated that he travelled to UP to be with his family, the source reveals that the actor flew away to escape media attention.

“After the legal notice seeking a divorce was sent, Nawaz quickly moved out of Mumbai in the relative safety of his home,” says the source.

The source also adds that Nawazuddin is likely to agree to his wife Aaliya’s divorce and maintenance demands. The actor is likely to not fight for child custody as well.

“It seems unlikely that Nawaz will fight for child custody. He will quietly sort this out and move on,” says a friend of Nawaz.

Meanwhile, Aaliya is on a spree and is making revelations one after the other. In a recent interview, she opened up about her estranged actor-husband’s affairs. “I kept hearing about his affairs, I used to leave the house and his female friends used to come in. I have tolerated him to the level which one can't even think of” she had said.
