Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Wife Files for Divorce; Makes Serious and Sensitive Allegations Against him and his Brother; Lawyer Confirms

In a shocking turn of events, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his wife Aaliya Siddiqui are about to end their eleven years of marriage. The couple together have two children, daughter Shora Siddiqui, and a son, Yaani Siqqiqui who was born on the actor's 41st birthday.

Reportedly, Aaliya has sent a legal notice to Nawaz seeking a divorce from him over their troubled marriage. She has also confirmed about the same with Zee News and has revealed that several problems had cropped up in their marriage that had been going on for the past few years but now things have gone beyond repair and she can no longer tolerate it all.

She also shared that most of the issues in their marriage were because of Nawazuddin and his brother. The issues were serious ones but she thought it shall too pass soon. But little did she know that the ongoing issues will lead to her divorce.

However, she refused to share any details about the problems she was facing in their marriage. Aaliya's lawyer had sent the legal notice to Nawazuddin via email and WhatsApp on May 7.

Speaking to ABP, she said, "It’s not the right time to tell everything. When the time comes, I will tell everything. There is not one reason but several reasons behind my problems with Nawaz. And, all these reasons are very serious"

Aaliya also informed that she had legally changed her name to back Anjana Anand Kishore Pandey two months back. She is known by both her names-Anjali and Anjana. Her father's name is Anand Kishore Pandey.Nawazuddin and Aalia tied the knot in 2009 after which she changed her name from Anjali to Aaliya.

Sharing about from how long the relationship issues have been going on between them, Aaliya said, "The problems between Nawaz and me have been going on since 2010, after one year of our marriage. I have been handling everything but now things have escalated beyond repair."

Nawaz, however, has not yet responded to the legal notice!

Confirming the news and revealing more details, Aaliya's lawyer told Zee News in a video message, "Yes, it is to confirm that we have sent a legal notice to Mr Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The notice was sent on behalf of Mrs Aaliya Siddiqui on May 7, 2020.

Due to unprecedented COVID-19 times, the notice could not be sent through speed post. It has been sent through email as well as WhatsApp. Mrs Siddiqui, our client, has also said the notice through WhatsApp.

However, Mr Siddiqui has not responded till date. I think he is just keeping quiet regarding the notice and ignoring it. 

The notice has been sent claiming maintenance and divorce. I would not like to get into the details of the notice regarding what are the contents and what are the allegations, but let me tell you that the allegations are quite serious and those are very sensitive to Mr Siddiqui as well as his family members," Aaliya's lawyer told Zee News in a video message.

Nawazuddin is currently in his hometown Budhana in Uttar Pradesh and his family had been under home quarantine after he recently traveled to the state.

The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor was earlier married to a girl named Sheeba, who lives in Haldwani. Nawaz got hitched to Sheeba as his mother wished him to do so. However, their marriage didn’t even last six months long and they got divorced soon. Six months after getting divorced, Nawazuddin walked down the aisle with Anjali.

Nawazuddin and Aaliya started dating each other in 2004. However, due to issues, the couple had an on-and-off relationship and even parted ways before their marriage. The detail about their relationship was even mentioned in Nawazuddin Siddiqui's autobiography 'An Ordinary Life - A Memoir'.
