Nagraj Manjule expresses his desire to work with Ranbir Kapoor & Vicky Kaushal; dubs them as great actors

Nagraj Manjule took up the helm of Jhund, starring Amitabh Bachchan, after presenting a hit like Sairat. The filmmaker, who was ecstatic to work with such a legend as Big B, stated that when the idea occurred to him, he undertook a thorough study. Before drafting the script, he met Vijay Barse Ji and his students. And when he told Bachchan sir the narrative, he immediately agreed. He had no idea that one day he would collaborate with Bachchan sir on a film.

He has gleaned a great deal from Bachchan sir. Despite his extensive filmography, he maintains a high level of commitment and enthusiasm for the profession. Success, as they say, goes to one's head, but Amitabh sir is an exception. Watching him on sets is the only way to understand his modesty. He's also incredibly helpful as a person, said the director, who aspires to be like the man he admires.

While Amitabh Bachchan's name has been crossed off Nagraj Manjule's wish list, he was asked to divulge additional people with whom he would like to collaborate. He expressed, 

“I am keen to work with Aamir Khan, Naseer sir. Even Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal are great actors, I would like to work with them. I also follow Raju Hirani ji’s movies. The thing is I want to work with a lot of actors, but I am not sure if they will want to work with me".

Several actors from Nagraj Manjule's earlier films are on Big B's soccer team in Jhund.  For this amusement, the filmmaker has brought back the principal cast from Sairat, Rinku Rajguru, and Akash Thosar as well as Ajay-Atul for the music.
