Naamkarann to REPLACE Diya Aur Baati Hum

Mahesh Bhatt's ambitious venture Naamkarann, is another show from the ace film maker's kitty, that will challenge society's beliefs. His previous show Udaan is also based on the social stigma of bonded labour and is doing well since the time of its inception.

Naamkarann will question the society's beliefs towards the girl child. It is always the girl child who faces discrimination, undergoes tremendous changes and has to adjust and re-adjust all the time.

The show stars Viraf Phiroz Patel, Barkha Bisht Sengupta and child artist Arsheen Naamdar in the main roles.

The promo of the show grabbed many eyeballs and has received a very positive response.

Naamkarann will now be taking up Star Plus' prime time slot of 9 pm. This slot was occupied by their no.1 show Diya Aur Baati Hum until now. Diya Aur Baati Hum will go off air on the 9th of September.

We will now have to wait and watch if Naamkarann too, like Diya Aur Baati Hum, create magic for Star Plus.
