'My upbringing never lets popularity get to my head,' says Doree's Moon Banerrjee calling fame a 'byproduct'

Moon Banerrjee, who has been part of shows like Chashme Baddoor, Abhimaan, Ghar Ek Mandir, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Muskaan, Sasural Simar Ka 2, and Doree, says she sees herself working all through her life because for her it’s not a destination but a journey.

She said, “It's not a goal; it's a journey. As I see, I want to keep going and enjoying this journey with its highs and lows that makes me feel alive. I'd rather not arrive at any destination because then the journey stops.”

Her dream role would be anything that pushes her out of her comfort zone, and she said, “Any role that is making me do things out of the box and making me uncomfortable. It doesn't necessarily have to be something someone has done before.”

Moon would love to work with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shimit Amin, Gulzar, Amir Khan, Zoya Akhtar, Kiran Rao, and S. S. Rajamouli. She added, “Internationally I want to work with Majid Majidi, and David E. Kelly.”

As an actor, popularity and fame come with the profession. She believes that fame is the byproduct of the good work that she wants to be known for. “Popularity never can get in to my head even if I try hard as my upbringing is very humble and my mother makes sure that I stay grounded she's the one who keeps me absolutely grounded,” Moon ended.
